Abstract
The International Association of Academies of Sciences was established on 23 September 1993 with headquarters in Kiev, Ukraine, as a non-governmental, independent organization aimed at enabling cooperation and coordination between the Academies of Sciences of all countries that joined the Commonwealth of Independent States, plus Georgia and Vietnam. Several other organizations that provide support for the development of science worldwide also take part in its activities. The article reviews the result of inter-Academic cooperation between post-Soviet countries during the first twenty years since the founding of the Association.
